#H.O.C is super excited to announce Unfinished Business’s debut album Mix n’ Mash available June 16th on limited edition cassette, vinyl!! and at digital stores everywhere.
Formed in 2010, Unfinished Business is comprised of three middle school girls aged 12-13. They write songs about ghosts, falling down, not going to school and having fun. They played their first show at the Toronto Underground Cinema in March 2011 and in two short years have been invited to play some of the coolest shows in the city and beyond. They’ve had a mini-documentary produced by CBC Radio which aired nationwide throughout summer 2012. Josh Zucker of Fucked Up called them his favourite band in Toronto and then invited the girls to open the 1st night of the Long Winter Series 2012. Since then, they have opened up for major buzz acts like Mac Demarco & Diana.
H.O.C. is excited to announce our next music release from Kitchener/Berlin based MAN meets BEAR.
Buffalo Comets was recorded in Berlin, Germany over the summer of 2013 by Soren Little Brothers, Dave Dunnett, and Evelyn Malinowski (Experimental Housewife), and mastered by James Plotkin (Nadja, Crystal Shipsss, Sunn O)))) the result is a hauntingly cinematic lo-fi landscape of experimental folk and ambient drone. Originally release late 2013 through Resonans Records in Denmark & Mouca Records in Portugal/Germany, Heretical Objects is excited to release both the North American digital release and the exclusive cassette edition that only includes the stunning B-Side. This re-arranged exclusive cassette is re-titled Dark Side of Buffalo Comets.
"Buffalo Comets discusses the relationship between outer space and ecology. It toys with drone elements that gently wane in and out of an array of different genre-conventions and added layers. Shoegaze and progressive and psychedelic rock can be felt at different points throughout the songs.” — Gray Owl Point (http://grayowlpoint.com/2014/03/13/review-buffalo-comets-man-meets-bear/)
